Understand business imperatives and develop commodity strategy to support business growth plan.
Take overall responsibility of supplier selection/development, quality and total cost competitiveness based on Finished product sourcing strategies and measured by defined metrics.
Drive supplier performance and supplier capability benchmarking through exploring the entire China supply market.
Manage supplier relationship to improve supply flexibility, new product quotation turn-around time and reduce lead time through consignment program or VMI initiatives.
Lead quarterly business review with key suppliers to continuously improve supplier performance.
Analyze supply market commodity architecture and forecast material cost trend.
Manage all commercial aspects with suppliers, lead and/or support negotiations and contract set-up.
Drive and reinforce the “Can Do” spirit and entrepreneurship.
Take on additional responsibilities that may be assigned by the Company from time to time.
Bachelor degree in supply chain or business management; mechanical and/or CPM qualification is a plus
More than 5 years relevant working experience
Strong business sense and service excellence attitude
Proactive, strategic minded with strong negotiation skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Good understanding of basic financial/accounting practices
Strong analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills
Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
People oriented, excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
Able to travel 50% - 70% of the time
Proficient in both English and Chinese
